Interested in submitting your writing or photography to The Long Trip Home? We accept written submissions up to 1500 words in length. Please include the title of the piece and the word "submission" in your email subject line. We cannot respond immediately to submissions, so give us at least a month to respond to your email. If you hear no response, feel free to email us: with all of the spam received at our email address, sometimes things get deleted that shouldn't. We also accept low res (72 dpi) photography submissions. The Long Trip Home's contents are updated on a quarterly basis (January, April, July, October). Here are some key points to note before sending us photography: If you are submitting a photojournal to be reviewed, please send 72 res photos no larger than 4x6 inches (10x15 cm) in size. A typical photo journal piece may contain up to 12-15 photos and no fewer than 5. If you are submitting a written piece and would like photos to accompany it, please send the written piece first, without the photos, so that we can review it and get back to you. Mention that you have photographs, and, if the piece is accepted, we will contact you about them. List of
